I’m currently curled up in my bed, cowering from the snow storm outside. We’re supposed to get 6-10 inches tonight. Blech. Oh February, you are the worst – with no end to winter in sight. At least you’ve got Valentine’s Day going for you. So, I’m thinking happy thoughts of pretty, bright pink and red things and wondering what I should do for My Man this year to celebrate.
I’ve done the traditional gifts – cologne, watch, boxers, love coupons and more and am running low on ideas. But for this Valentine’s Day I’d like to get something that is a little more thoughtful and a little less materialistic/commercial. Here are a few of my ideas. I’d love to hear yours!

Hi friends. Today I’m sharing a Valentine’s printable I made. I love this quote from Winnie the Pooh and thought it was perfect for Vday. The link to download the free printable is below. Enjoy!

Hi friends! Today I’ve got some pretty Valentine’s Day mantel inspiration for you to admire. I know Valentine’s day gets a bad rap from a lot of people, but I actually love Vday. And not just because I’m in loove and have someone to spoil me on that day (let’s face it, I’m spoiled everyday). But I love it because it is the bright, cheery holiday that gets me out of the winter doldrums. It’s an excuse to watch some goofy chick flick and have a fondue party. I love spending time around Valentine’s day with my girlfriends, because they actually appreciate all the pink, heart shaped stuff and enjoy watching those romance movies. So here are some pretty Valentine’s Day mantels to brighten your day!
I love the shades of grey used in this mantel. It makes it feel modern. That word art saying is pretty cute too.
I’m loving that chevron backdrop!
Whistful sigh. Love the mix of aqua and pink. Simple, but beautiful.
Those little mailboxes are cute.
Great pops of pink!
I like the tree branches with little hearts on them.
Patterned paper hearts dress up some twigs and a cute banner.
You don’t have to have a mantle, you just need some shelf space to decorate.
I like the use of white lanterns and doilies here. That saying on the rustic board is fun too.
Another aqua and pink mix with some burlap added in. Very pretty.
Hope these ideas cheered you up today! Have a wonderful week!
