Hello! Welcome to Perpetually Daydreaming. I’m Brittany, the lady behind this little blog.
I’m a newlywed in my late twenties. I love crafting, reading, yoga, design and exploring new places. I also have an unhealthy addiction to polka dots and stripes (but not necessarily together) and a love for anything turquoise, purple or black and white.
You can usually find me perpetually daydreaming about my next project, trip, or activity. This blog started out featuring all of my decorating and crafty projects and ideas, but now it’s morphed into something a little different.
It chronicles not only my projects, but also my life with My Man and our experiences. Here you will find a little bit of everything – from home decorating and recipes, to recaps of our travels and updates on our life.
This is My Man. His name is Michael and he is the funniest guy I know. He makes me laugh everyday and I can be my own goofy self with him.
He’s also a CPA and is one of the hardest workers I know. He is a Purdue grad and a huge sports (Pacers, Reds, Bengals) fan, and has been successfully brainwashing me ever since our first date. Way too much sports knowledge has seeped its way into my brain!
I grew up in a small town in Indiana and I graduated from DePauw University in 2008 with a degree in Communication. After graduating, I got a job in the corporate world and moved to Denver, Colorado for a few years. I fell in love with the mountains and met some great friends. Then in July of 2009, I met My Man at my friend’s wedding back in Indiana (he was a groomsmen and I was a bridesmaid). We dated long distance for a year and a half before I moved back to Indy to continue the romance. We just got married in September of 2013 and are enjoying life as newlyweds.
We live in a condo in the city with our 14-year-old pup, Chewy (my childhood dog, who came to live with us in 2012). Chew-bear keeps me company while I blog and enjoys his retirement by sleeping all day.
By day, I work in marketing. In my down time I’ve been working on making this former bachelor-pad a home. I also love helping my friends celebrate by planning and making diy invitations and decorations for pretty parties. I just started my own Etsy shop where I create custom-designed invitations, cards, and other printables!
